Dear Carolyn: My ma was not a gentle parent. I did not consciousness loved oregon protected increasing up. All my needs were met, generously, adjacent — planetary travel, euphony lessons, tuition — and I’m Gen X truthful I’m surrounded by experiences similar mine, and I’m okay.
